What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is how often, and in which position, AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude name a brand when someone asks for a recommendation in its category. Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode count too. It is measured by asking real buyer questions repeatedly and reading every answer.
Why does AI visibility matter?
Buyers ask assistants for a shortlist before they visit any website. A brand that is not named never makes that shortlist, and web analytics cannot show the loss, because no click happens. Improving it is the work of GEO, generative engine optimization.
How is AI visibility measured?
Write a fixed set of questions your buyers ask, without your brand name, and ask each assistant with web search on, in your buyers' country and language. Record whether you are named and where, which brands appear instead (your share of voice) and which sources are cited. Repeat every week, because answers vary from run to run.
How does Nodpick measure it?
Nodpick is an AI visibility tracker. It turns each answer into points (named first 100, second 80, third 60, later 40, not named 0), averages them into a score with a 95 % range and the number of answers behind it, and ranks the fixes by how well each is backed. The method is published.
