AEO tool: see whether AI answers name your brand
An answer engine optimization tool has to answer one question: when your buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude or Google's AI answers for the best option in your category, are you named, recommended or missing? Nodpick asks those questions every week, scores the result with a range, shows who is named instead of you and ranks the fixes by evidence.
- Every answer behind a score is readable
- Fixes graded A, B or C by evidence
- No card for the free check
What you get
Optimizing without measuring is guessing. These are the parts of the tool that make the work measurable.
Your buyer questions, asked weekly
The questions your customers ask AI, written from your own website and edited by you. Each one is asked once a week on every engine, and asked again when your mention changes, so a single lucky or unlucky answer does not move your score.
Six engines in every plan
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, all with web search, in your buyers' country and language. No plan hides an engine behind a higher price.
A score with a range
A position score from 0 to 100 (named first = 100, not named = 0) with its 95 % range. A weekly change only counts as real when it beats your normal swing, so you do not react to noise.
Recommended, mentioned or cited
Being named in the text, being recommended as the fit and being linked as a source are three different results. Each answer is marked, and you can read the full answer behind every mark.
Who is named instead of you
Every brand the engines named for your questions, your share of voice against the competitors you track by name (5 on Starter, up to 15 on Agency), and the domains the engines cited most.
Fixes ranked by evidence
Recommendations ranked by priority, each with an evidence grade: A documented by the vendor, B backed by a study, C untested. After you change something, a Fix-Check measures it against your own unchanged questions (1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 10 on Agency).
Who it is for
SaaS and B2B marketing teams
You rank on Google, but buyers now shortlist tools by asking an assistant. See whether you are on that shortlist and what to change first.

What this tool does not do
- It measures and tells you what to change. It does not rewrite your pages. If you would rather hand the changes over, see done-for-you implementation.
- It cannot promise that an assistant will name you. Nobody outside the assistants can.
- It does not track Microsoft Copilot, voice assistants or featured snippets.
- The free check is a snapshot of 5 questions asked once, so its range is wide. Weekly tracking with confirmation runs is what the paid plans add.
We ran it on ourselves
On 1 November 2026 we asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude the kind of question a buyer asks, such as "best tools to track my brand in ChatGPT", in English and German. We ran the same method on our own brand, which is two weeks old.
category answers named Nodpick
category answers named an established vendor instead
brand-name answers described Nodpick correctly
The category answers leaned on third-party "best tools" lists. Asked by name ("What is Nodpick?"), ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answered correctly from our own site. Known, but not recommended: that gap is what Nodpick measures, and it is the number you should track for your own brand.
Questions about AEO tools
What is an AEO tool?
An AEO (answer engine optimization) tool helps you get your brand into the answers AI assistants and Google's AI features give. Content checkers tell you what to write; a tool like Nodpick measures the result: whether the assistants name or recommend your brand for your buyers' questions, how that changes week to week and what to fix first.
Is there a free AEO tool?
Yes, two. The free AI visibility checker asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude five buyer questions about your category and shows whether they name you. The AI crawler checker shows which AI bots your robots.txt lets in. Continuous weekly tracking is the paid part.
What is the difference between an AEO tool and a GEO tool?
In practice none. AEO and GEO describe the same goal, being named in AI answers, and tools for either measure the same thing. Nodpick covers both.
How much does an AEO tool cost?
Nodpick costs 49 € (Starter), 129 € (Growth) or 399 € (Agency) a month, net, plus VAT. All three include the same six engines. Other tools price by engine or by prompt count, so compare what you can track for the price, not the headline number: AI visibility tools compared.
Do I still need SEO if I use an AEO tool?
Yes. Google says optimizing for its AI features is still SEO: a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet. The assistants also lean on third-party sources, so your own pages are only part of the picture. The tool shows which part is missing.
Can an AEO tool guarantee that ChatGPT recommends me?
No, and be careful with anyone who says so. A tool can show where you stand, what the assistants cite instead and which fix has the best evidence. Whether an assistant names you stays outside anyone's control.
