What is Gemini?
Gemini is Google's family of AI models and also the name of its assistant app at gemini.google.com. It is separate from Google Search: AI Overviews and AI Mode use Gemini models inside Search, while the Gemini app is a standalone chat. A brand can appear in one and not the other.
Why track it separately?
The Gemini app, AI Overviews and AI Mode can give different answers to the same question, because they differ in retrieval and presentation. Measuring them as separate engines shows where you are strong.
