What is AI shopping?
AI shopping means assistants help people compare and choose products, from shortlists to checkout. Google's AI Mode and ChatGPT both show product suggestions. The product data they use comes from feeds such as Google Merchant Center, structured Product markup and review sources, so accurate, complete product data matters.
What to prepare
Keep product titles, prices, availability and identifiers current in your feed, add Product markup to product pages, and collect honest reviews. Inconsistent data across feed and page causes errors.
Example: asked for "vegan running shoes under 100 euros", an assistant lists products with prices taken from merchant feeds and product pages.
Beyond products
The same rule applies to services: one page with the plain facts a buyer compares, such as price, scope and terms, is easier for an assistant to quote.
