What is Claude web search?
Claude web search lets Anthropic's assistant fetch current web pages and answer with source links, instead of relying only on what it learned in training. Without it, Claude answers from training data alone. Whether web search is on changes which brands can be named, so a test must record the setting.

Anthropic documents three bots: ClaudeBot for training, Claude-SearchBot for search quality and Claude-User for page visits requested by a user. See ClaudeBot and check Anthropic's current documentation.
