What is FAQ schema?

Also: FAQPage markup

FAQ schema is structured data (schema.org FAQPage) that marks up questions and their answers on a page. Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known government and health sites, so the visible benefit in Search is gone for most sites. The visible question-and-answer content itself still helps readers and assistants.

Should you still use it?

Write real FAQs with direct answers: they match how people ask. Markup is optional and harmless if it mirrors the visible text, but do not expect a rich result.

Example: a pricing page lists six questions with visible answers, and FAQPage markup repeats exactly that text.
