What is Organization schema?

Also: Organization markup, sameAs

Organization schema is structured data (schema.org Organization, usually as JSON-LD) that states your company name, logo, website and official profiles. The sameAs property links your site to profiles such as LinkedIn, so machines can tell that they all describe one entity. Google documents it as organization structured data.

Why add it

It removes guesswork about who you are and which profiles are yours. It does not guarantee a mention, but it supports consistent identification across sources.

Example: a JSON-LD block names the company, its logo and sameAs links to its LinkedIn and GitHub profiles.

Keep it truthful

Only list profiles you control and keep the details identical to your visible page and other sources.
