What is the difference between recommended and mentioned?
A brand is mentioned when an assistant names it anywhere in an answer. It is recommended when the assistant presents it as a good choice for the question. A mention can be a neutral listing or even a warning, so counting mentions alone overstates how well your brand is doing.
Why the difference matters
Buyers act on recommendations. An answer that says a tool exists but is outdated is a mention without a recommendation. Tracking both shows whether your problem is awareness or persuasion.
Example: "Acme exists but is outdated" is a mention. "For a ten-person agency, Acme is a strong choice" is a recommendation.
How does Nodpick show it?
Nodpick marks each answer as recommended, just mentioned or cited, and shows position and who is named instead. Run the free AI visibility check to see your own numbers; the method shows how they are made, and pricing lists the plans.
